Kanagawa Space Summit
On June 10, Masato Otsubo, CEO of YUKI Holdings (YUKI Precision Group), took part in the founding assembly and first meeting of the “Organizing Committee for Space Summit”, organized by Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Kanagawa prefecture is home to JAXA’s Sagamihara campus (Institute of Space Science), where cutting-edge technologies in space vehicle development and testing are concentrated. It is also home to many companies involved in the space industry. With this environment, the prefecture plans to hold a major business conference later this year to stimulate opportunities and boost the local space sector. YUKI Precision is based in Kanagawa via its headquarters, main manufacturing site and “TECH DESIGN YOKOHAMA” technical office. We have had the privilege of participating in a number of space projects, notably by developing or supporting the design of satellite-mounted equipment, test tools and components. The image below shows an original prototype injector, designed as part of a feasibility test (design choices and machining capabilities) for an attitude control system on a bipropellant liquid rocket.
